Hi. You might be wondering what gives me the right to assume I can provide you with the quality service you require. That’s fair.
Let’s start with education. I hold a BA in English from Fairfield University with minors in Psychology and Communications. I also have a Master’s Degree in English and American Literature from Michigan State University. At both institutes, I was no stranger to the Dean’s List. A sizable chunk of my tuition at the latter was paid for by writing scripts for technical training videos.
My story ‘Fudge’ was part of the Amazon #1 bestselling anthology “Machine of Death” and featured in Femme Actualle magazine as part of the French language edition publicity campaign. Some of my other works have been published in Mythic Magazine, Stupefying Stories, and the One Sentence Story Anthology, to name a few. My non-fiction output has been diverse and far-ranging, touching on genres such as SAT prep essays, RPG rulebooks, recaps of sporting events, and so on.
Since 2022, I’ve been contracting with FindLaw.com. Hired as a copy editor, my job responsibilities grew to include legal article writing, line editing, online publishing in both AEM and WordPress, and hundreds of daily legal blog articles that were distributed in a newsletter with a subscription base of over 175,000.
I am familiar with AP Style, AMA, and CMoS, and am quick to adapt to whatever personal preferences you or your company may prefer. I have basic HMTL skills and online publishing experience with AEM and WordPress, as well as content creation, sharing, and editing with Contently and Google Suite.
Whether writing or editing, I check my ego at the door and am genuinely interested in contributing to the success of all jobs I’m involved with. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at kit.yona.edits@gmail.com.
